Someone get that girl mental help

Ashley Light • 1 year ago

The social worker tried to but then the whole doll thing

Nanobana Kinako • 1 year ago

The girl could have been the Dark Emperor of this season similar to 02.

Triduo • 1 year ago

Yeah but she's not subtle enough... Rather, she was a loose cannon and if you're trying to conquer the world you need to be subtle.

Paradoxe : With Digimon turning people into dolls, you don't need subtlety. -___-

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Man Kayono sure has issues that she needs to resolve on her own.

Brian Self • 1 year ago

Far be it of me to say this but can we get a lighthearted episode. This is getting darker than black. I'm surprised they don't have a crazed digimon Running around with a sword cutting people down!!

ryuuri • 1 year ago

That episode already happened, and it looks like the next one has a similar theme.

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

Digimon sure are getting out of hand. Matter of time whenever the goverment or the world pick up on this.

Neil Dunsmore • 1 year ago

I'm so mixed about this episode. On one hand, I give them props, this is genuinely horrifying. From a horror standpoint, this works. But it is starting to get to me how a lot of the antagonists in this show are getting off way too easy. Some of them deserve only a light scolding, sure, but this girl should have suffered some sort of repercussion for her actions. I'm glad she learned her lesson, she deserved some form of punishment, nothing too extreme, but well-deserved. Having everyone forget being turned into dolls just feels like an excuse not to bring this plot point back.

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

I don't like this episode. I'm starting to get sick of this show's over-the-top episodic format honestly, utterly sick of it. It's episode 30 and they still didn't do anything of importance besides small pieces here and there, most of it is filler for god's sake! It's like a much better Hunters and that's it. If this series is 50 episodes then it's truly doomed to be rushed where they pretend to care about the plot in its final 5 episodes and rush everything.

I mean look at this, this girl did all this and yet nobody will remember it the next episode and everything that happened will get completely forgotten exactly like they did the weedmon's invasion and all the human interactions with Digimons. Like c'mon, how is there no continuity yet? No acknowledgement by humans about the existence of digimons whatsoever no matter what they do, the world feels very lifeless if you ask me. I love Digimon Ghost Game, it has been fun but honestly at this point this repetitive format has just overstayed its welcome by episode 28 and I couldn't stand it anymore the moment this show overlooked and completely forgot what happened with Angoramon and Digitammamon, that was just...no, just no. I know about episodic shows but this was just overkill, you can't just brush over something important like that and reset the status quo all over again as if nothing happened.

This format has to go, they have to go to the digital world already!

oh • 1 year ago

But seriously, how come all the people who got involved just wake up and acting like nothing happened??? Welp, it might be because their memories got erased or something but still, it kinda bugs me a little 😭

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

that was kinda lucky for kayono (unless they had thought the "monsters" were mind controlled)

then again this is more believable thant the MANY OTHER TIMES digimon have appeared in the physical world, and actually caused visible damage and people are still like "oh yeah. that was kinda annoying. those new solid holograms are quite wild"

seriously, data squad at least had people wiht memory erasers. here, nothing at all

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

Shitty writing. It happened several times before in this show. Like, literally, Angoramon & Jellymon & Gammamon are clearly not holograms yet everybody is fooled by them, there was also an invasion by the weedmon earlier in the series and nothing came out of it, and the Ajatarmon episode too. The amount of stupidity in this show is just astounding.

oh • 1 year ago

They just all like: "Tf am I even doing here? Guess I'll just go home and acting like nothing even happened then" all the time. And its just like the time fly so fast that no one even talk about those events anymore, srl?
The only person who doesn't look dumb to me is Aoi - Ruri's friend, who does care ab things happen around them and asks ab Angoramon. 😭

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

If this was Tamers or even Savers (my least favorite season) they would have made a storyline about a secret organization investigating the whole thing by episode 10 already.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

Honestly, we almost kinda got that... remember the female scientist that was experimenting with the Digimon that was giving everyone an endless nightmare?

That could have been an amazing premise to introduce regular humans investigating Digimons, and yet it got wasted... probably the biggest mistake this show did, at least for me.

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

That was Morphomon actually, the digimon that was transforming other digimons into weird insect monsters.

Like most of Ghost Game's episodes, that could have been a very cool 2-parter that can branch into a whole storyline about humans investigating the whole thing...but that didn't happen, they fixed the whole thing in the last 2 minutes like they always do and reset the status quo so nobody remembers what happened like they always do. Heck, this episode could have been an amazing setup to a dark tamer of some kind but they rushed everything and solved it in the last 3 minutes just with some talking. Such lame writing. Like, remember when Jellymon became Ruli's temporary partner? When was that ever brought up again? Never. They completely forgot it, so dumb.

Vincent • 1 year ago

I disagree with "it's gonna be rushed" part.

IMO, this digimon season is fundamentally different than its predecessors. In every other seasons, Digimon and Digital World were the focus of the story. In this, however, the focus are humans and their daily "paranormal" problems, and Digimon is treated more like the tool/plot device to make it work. Digital World is going to become an objective rather than a new world to explore.

My prediction is that in the future, a Digimon will kidnap human(s) and bringing them to Digital World, prompting the team to finally, "Oh yeah guys, Digital World exist, let's go!". Rescuing the kidnapped human(s) will be the priority, while finding Hiro's dad will be a sidequest, almost an afterthought mission. The place in the Digital World they'll visit are towns, villages, and settlements with lots of human-like society/social problems. With this kind of development, 15 episodes should be sufficient to wrap things up and not rushed at all.

Supushan • 1 year ago

To me they are just riding Yokai Watch's vibe, just a little darker

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Before Angoramon gets his Ultimate and you want them to head to the Digital World already just because you want the story to progress? Bad idea and what do you mean there is no continuity, old villains from previous episodes do comeback like Clockmon and Dracmon does and Mummymon does return for certain episodes.

Any of the incidences that were involved with Digimon are either written off as urban legends or hologram ghosts to most people. Did you really think this show forgot about Angoramon being forced to kill Digitamamon? Well I wouldn't get my hopes up but try next episode with the cursed sword. If you can't stand the format anymore then why don't you leave and enjoy your stupid 1999 Adventure or something.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

Don't tell me you just insulted OG Adventure, let me guess... you're gonna say that Adventure 2020 was a masterpiece?

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Well no, I'm not gonna say Adventure 2020 was a masterpiece but I never watched enough of the OG nor 02 to really appreciate nor care enough to say I would enjoy it either.

Agumon-kun • 1 year ago

Then don't fucking insult a clear labor of love season like Digimon Adventure '99 even though its terribly low budget, if you don't care.
Frankly 99 flows better than Ghost Game.

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

Whatever makes you sleep at night buddy.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Suppose they do go to the Digital World already, there wouldn't be a point when they don't know what they are trying to find there aside from Hiro's dad?

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

You said it yourself. Finding Hiro's dad.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

And that alone can open the way to so many possibilities if handled correctly, like, what if they're searching for Hiro's dad and they suddenly find a massive ploy to conquer the human world?

What if Hiro's dad becomes the Gennai of this anime and he guides the group to the save the world? Which could also tie the plot of how Digimons are getting transported to the real world.

I'll be honest... I'm taking sides here, it's time to go to the Digiworld because at this point I feel that the human world is getting exhausted in terms of storytelling, going to the Digiworld will make the story a lot more rich... hopefully, I have low expectations from Toei anyways.

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

That's what I had in mind actually. Hiro's dad will probably be Gennai, some kind of a guide and a secondary motivation for Hiro's gang to go to the digital world. The primary motivation will probably be them trying to stop the digimons from suddenly being teleported to the human world which will be connected to Hiro's dad storyline in some way.

But honestly, I'm not expecting much anymore. If this series is 50-ish episodes (which probably is) then I'm expecting everything to be rushed exactly like they did Hunters, fooling around for 35 episodes and then pretending to have a plot in the final episodes. I hope that it's at least 80 episodes because if it isn't then this show is doomed.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

The problem now is there is yet to be a means for them to enter the Digital World without getting their skin burned.

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

Are you being intentionally obtuse? When I said "they have to go to the digital world already!" I clearly didn't mean the next episode them suddenly being in the digital world, I clearly meant STARTING a SETUP ARC (which they didn't do yet btw) to go to the digital world which includes finding a way to bypass the burn through the portals thing.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Usually set up arcs to go into the Digital World if they aren't already in there would be after everyone having achieved their ultimate evolutions and I imagine Angoramon is reaching that point but not in a positive way.

ryuuri • 1 year ago

If Sabrina, the Saffron City gym leader, were a Digimon tamer.

Hade ni Ikuze • 1 year ago

I always describe this show as horror for kids but man, the way people turned into dolls is genuinely freaky. Girl stop. Get some help.

ryuuri • 1 year ago

The depth of psychology, toys that make others into their own play thing; exploitation. This series really goes deep and can be very serious.

Triduo • 1 year ago

I don't know about depth or psychology but one thing's clear :
Loneliness is a poison that makes you an easy target for people. It can make you want to be lonely or use your unhealthy thirst for recognition against you.

Paradoxe : In other words : Being lonely makes you dumb and a bully. -___-

ryuuri • 1 year ago

If you watch the ending the toys reveal their whole operation. So far each monster of the week implies some sort of baggage from the victim or exploit the monster will use against them.
This episode felt too rushed with how the girl's problem is, I don't feel it's resolved at all. She has other underlying issues...

ryuuri • 1 year ago

You must miss a lot to make such a puddle.

Rini Mulandari • 1 year ago

This is stupid show. Very disturbing
And it supposed to be a kids show?? Really.
It's too dangerous for kids to watch. Yet with many cruelty they built in the first half, the ending always lovey dovey. Ppl magically revert back into whole again even tho your limb were torn apart like nothing happen. Ppl were just..ahh its ok. What i am doing here anyway... The digimon are always innocent despite horrible things they did

And the worst part, it's repetitive. Theres no real and significance story or plot. And this is eps 30

2kawaii4ya • 1 year ago

Well at this point we could have a digimon with a rifle go and shoot up a school or something.
This stuff isn't scary, it's just really damn dangerous.

wwlaos • 1 year ago

She wasn't being bullied, she wasn't abandoned, she was just jealous that she wasn't the center of everyone's attention. The episode gave her no real characterization, she didn't earn that apology at the end, the episode just went "LOL EVERYONE'S FINE NOW SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!"

That was a really weak episode. :|

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Guessing this is a play on loneliness and those who are not kind of heart could take advantage of those who are alone. In this instance, it's how we hear girls getting involved with a bad crowd and the person who is alone would wind up becoming the worst version of themselves or even lose more than she thought she had not realizing there ARE people who care about her but just don't have much time to see them like they use to or personal circumstances.

Algnebe • 1 year ago

I am glad opening doesn't spoil the evolutions

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

yeah
they only show them AFTER it happened

lady vivi ★ • 1 year ago

Kayano is kind of a mood lol

Of course Extyrannomon first appear card game only and now he make debut Ghost Game

Kranesh • 1 year ago

This was weird... I have no idea who directed it or why this episode was made like this but this has to be weakest episode by far, it was like... "Hey, we're out of ideas for episode 30, anyone got something?" "Oh yeah, what about creepy dolls just because?" and I'll be honest... if that was the reasoning then shame on Toei!

This episode had a good idea however, but a very poor execution, perhaps if the ending was a bit different... perhaps a bit more darker? Then I think things would have worked out... in any case, I think Toei might be saving the best considering the preview for the next episode, scary Angoramon is scary and I can't wait to see what the heck happened to him!

robert mcconnell • 1 year ago

oh wow that ability was terrifying when piedmon did it but this is so much worse such low quality dolls at least when piedmon did it you could immediatley tell who the doll was.

ryuuri • 1 year ago

The worse version of Toy Story.
